Who we are looking for

The position of Data Analyst sits within the global analytics team and reports to the Director of Analytics. The analytics team are responsible for delivering market screens and benchmarks for regional markets.

Though every day will be different, you can expect to spend time:

• Sourcing, processing, analyzing and interpreting large & complex datasets to support both research and the wider company.
• Developing analytics and forecasting software to grow and enhance Modo’s product offering. Usually, this will mean coding in python.
• Getting to know our subscribers, building your network, and staying up to date with the latest developments in the clean energy industry.

We are looking for someone who has:

• A self-starter attitude, eager to dive headfirst into problems and pick things up quickly.
• A top degree in a quantitative field: engineering, maths, physics, chemistry, biology.
• Exceptional technical problem-solving and analytical skills. Ideally you've done some coding and data processing before and have experience with Python or R.
• The ability to describe the trends you discover and the models you build clearly and concisely. If you can talk about them too, even better.
• A hunger to make net zero happen.

We’d love it if you also have:

• A postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline or several years of experience in a commercial environment.
• Knowledge or previous experience in the US electricity system (particularly ERCOT, PJM or CAISO).
