The Opportunity

EDF Wholesale Market Services (WMS) is a core business line within the EDF UK Customers Business that is at the centre of helping Britain achieve Net Zero. It provides industry leading wholesale market services to EDF’s supply and generation business units and to third party energy asset owners. The team operates in a broad and diverse range of market segments including residential & business supply, nuclear, renewable & thermal generation and storage & flexible energy.

We are looking for a talented Settlements and Reporting Senior Analyst to join the Flexibility Services team who are responsible for the operations, settlement, commercial oversight, product development and delivery of market leading route to market services to asset owners of flexible technologies (such as battery storage, gas peakers and DSR).

What you’ll be doing

As the Settlements and Reporting Senior Analyst, you will take full responsibility for ensuring the timely and accurate settlement of flexible assets, ensuring that customers receive clear and concise information to help them understand the performance of their asset and the resulting cash flows. The current battery storage and gas peaker asset portfolios are split across 15+ customer accounts and this number is set to grow further.  

You will provide support throughout the contracting and onboarding journey for each new asset, acting as a subject matter expert on all matters of industry convention and compliance to ensure they are correctly set up in all necessary settlements and reporting systems and that all registration activities are completed.

Acting as the main point of contact for all settlement queries and helping customers to understand and apply for relevant exemptions, you will be expected to build excellent working relationships with all external customers to allow for a quality customer service experience.

Working efficiently, you will look to drive improvements in processes, accuracy, efficiency, customer experience and automation of reporting and settlements. You will be fully empowered to make key operational decisions relating to settlement and reporting and engage regularly with SLT level stakeholders presenting clear and concise information.

Who you are

We are looking for somebody who has a very strong customer focus, good communication skills and a good understanding of the energy industry and its settlement processes.

You will have a track record of building and maintaining effective internal and external business relationships, an innovative mindset and the ability to work with large data sets and reporting systems.
