We are seeking a Senior Commercial Analyst to join the Commercial Team during this exciting period of transformation and growth! If you would enjoy the challenge of working as part of a small team helping to drive the sustainable energy transition, then this might be the role for you.

About the role

Reporting to the Commercial Director you will:

·        Build operational and financial models for new assets and markets

·        Provide the business development team with expert analytical insight and support in client meetings

·        Own Open Energi’s understanding of the UK power market and policy trends and contribute to commercial strategy discussions

·        Work closely with the data science team to advise on trading and optimisation strategies

·        Prepare and collate commercial performance reporting for the management team

·        Represent Open Energi in the market through speaking engagements, industry events and other thought leadership activities.

What you’ll bring:

·        At least 4 years’ experience in a commercial, analyst or consulting role

·        In depth knowledge of UK power markets

·        Excellent analytical and technical skills; in particular Excel modelling skills

·        The ability to present analysis in a clear and concise manner and to be comfortable defending your work

·        The ability to use your analysis to make commercial and strategic recommendations

·        The desire to work in a fast paced environment and prioritise different work projects
